The Retail Services group advises retailers on display and merchandising options and ensures the implementation of T/WR marketing plans and promotions. Whether they are out in stores overseeing magazine displays or analyzing market data for compliance and merchandising practices, our field forces and sales teams are constantly hard at work ensuring the maximum return for every dollar spent on retail initiatives.
  • Retail Sales Team: The Retail Sales Team partners with both chain retailers and individual store managers to put marketing strategies into action that optimize profits for all parties in the retail equation. On the distribution side, when a new magazine display is sold, wholesalers are kept up-to-date regarding new allocation needs.

  • Retail Sales Field Force: With visits to individual stores, our Retail Sales Field Force advises retailers on assortment and presentation techniques, and ensures that all aspects of promotions and displays (signage, magazines, fixtures, etc.) are implemented according to T/WR specifications. These requirements are designed to make prominent and cost-effective store placement a top priority.

  • Headquarters Sales Team: The Headquarters Sales Team provides strategic oversight by setting overall sales goals and conducting research into innovative merchandising practices. The team supports the importance of magazines in the sales mix and other publisher objectives through frequent communications with key retailer trade groups, such as the National Association of Chain Drug Stores.

  • Category Management: The T/WR Retail Services group is an industry leader in researching Category Management, which emphasizes profits and sales for the entire magazine category as opposed to individual titles. These findings, relating to magazine assortments, rack order and display techniques, are shared with retailers, who use them to improve the profitability of key magazine categories.   • Cutting-Edge Technology: The Retail Services group is supported in its efforts by state-of-the-art solutions, including Field Force Automation, a Customer Relationship Management system that provides account profiles, order data and contact information for major retailers. The Retail Field Force also uses a sophisticated PDA system to collect detailed data on in-store conditions, such as magazine display compliance, store layouts and merchandising practices.
